Maybelline Fit Me Foundation | Review

Hello lovelies! This post is going to be another little review. I'll try not to rant on too much and get to the point..

So the Maybelline Fit Me foundation claims to be a 'transluscent gel based formula [that] merges seamlessly with your skin.' That is a direct quote from their website so I'm not making it up, haha. I find this quote to be complete crap to be honest. The foundation is not at all seemless. I got the lightest shade (#115) and found that it was a bit too dark for me and quite orange. I got the Fit Me powder in #120 and it's perfect for me so I thought the foundation would be light enough but it definitely wasn't. The overall shade range also isn't great so this foundation also wouldn't be great for those with darker skin tones.

The other main problem with this foundation is that it's too greasy. I feel like even after ten minutes of having it on, it just really easily wipes off your face.. never mind after a few hours. I have oily/combination skin and I couldn't wear this for a few hours without re-applying powder or I just look greasy and pretty horrible haha.

I must admit that I do like the packaging of this foundation though. It's just a simple bottle with a pump but I think it looks nice. I've seen some people complaining about the packaging but I honestly see no issue with it.

Have any of you tried this foundation? What did you think? I think if it was less orange and less greasy, it would be perfect. This would probably be quite good for those with normal or dry skin but I'm not sure. Any opinions? I'm currently trying other foundations and will keep you updated. I hope you like this type of post! But until next time, goodbyeeee :-)

- xoxo

    1. I hate it too! As I said, it probably wouldn't be bad if you have dry skin but I already have oily skin so this foundation doesn't help at all. Thanks for the comment :-) gonna check out your posts now lovely! xx

  3. I totally agree with you on this! I have combination skin and i'm mixed race and the shade choice was rubbish and it felt horrific on my skin, very gloopy and greasy!

  4. I've been wanting to try this for awhile now. I don't like that it is greasy though. Maybe I will rethink getting! What do you use normally for foundation.

  5. If you have dry/normal skin, it'll probably be fine.. but it's definitely a no-no for oily/combination skin. I was previously using No7's Stay Perfect foundation, but I am now trying out the B. Flawless Complete Coverage foundation (and am loving it so far) xx

  7. I use this foundation in the wintertime. It helps with dry skin (like you mentioned in the blog). I get really bad dry skin, so it is good for that. It is awful for the summer when my skin gets more oily though.
