Sleek Face Form | Review

Hello lovelies. I know my posting schedule hasn't been up to scratch lately but I have a whole lot of coursework due in/exams in university at the minute so I've been working on that. As well as that I've been juggling my job and trying to see my friends when I can.. so blogging has taken a bit of a back seat if I'm honest. I'm definitely going to start trying to post more regularly!

Anyway, today I'm going to do a little review on the Sleek Face Form palette in Light #373. I haven't done a review in a while so I thought it was about time I wrote another one.

So you may or may not know that I'm a little bit obsessed with Sleek makeup.. I know I may be a little bit behind the times because Sleek has been becoming more and more popular for some time now but hey, at least I'm starting to appreciate it! For months I wanted this little palette but trying to get my hands on it was a lot more difficult than I thought it would be. Even though I actually work in Superdrug, it was constantly sold out and it must have been a good 3 months before I was actually able to get it. I've had this for about a month now so I think I've given it enough time to be able to review it.

This palette is available in Superdrug and on the Sleek website for £9.99. As you can see, this palette has a bronzer, a highlighting powder and Sleek's Rose Gold blush. This palette is also available in medium and dark but instead of the blusher, it includes a shimmering bronzer.

I've only been trying out contouring recently but this is such a handy little kit to get started. I love the bronzer that is included but you do have to be ever so slightly careful as, although this palette is for light skin, the bronzer can become too dark very easily. Once you get used to how much you should use though, this is not a problem at all! I also love that this bronzer is matte because so many bronzers that are available are shimmery which I'm not a fan of.. especially when contouring. The bronzer also lasts for a good 5 to 6 hours most days which is great.

I really like the highlighting powder in this palette as it is perfect for everyday use. It's not too shimmery and gives a really pretty, natural looking glow. For a night out, I would probably opt for my MUA Undress Your Skin Shimmer Highlighter instead. I do love it for everyday or natural makeup looks though.

Now, I must admit that I'm slightly disappointed with the Rose Gold blush.. especially after hearing so many people rave about it. I just don't think the pigmentation is great at all. It looks good when you swatch it on your finger or wrist for example, but when I actually apply it to my cheeks it just doesn't show up well against my foundation. My foundation isn't dark at all either so I don't see why it doesn't. It does give a lovely very pale shimmery pink but even if I apply a lot of it, it doesn't seem to get any pinker.  However, I may just think this because I do like having quite a pink blusher on so some of you may really like this blusher.

Lastly, it comes in lovely and also quite expensive/professional looking packaging which I love. It's also super handy to bring out with you and the mirror is quite a good size as well.

Overall, I really love this product because it's quick and easy to use because everything you need to contour is there. I just wish the Rose Gold blush was ever so slightly more pigmented and then this palette would be absolutely perfect! I still recommend this palette 100% :-)

Have any of you tried out this Sleek palette or are there any other Sleek products that you recommend? I'd love to hear about them. Anyway, thank you for reading.. and until next time, goodbye!

- xoxo

  1. I've been wanting this for so long!
Am disappointed to hear that the Rose Gold blush isn't as good as what you were expecting. Looks so pretty it's such a shame!
    Great review!

    1. It really is a shame because it does look beautiful! Thank you lovely :-) xx

  2. I've had this palette fir a while and I love it! I also love the fact the bronze is matte! My rise gold blush seems to be really pigmented though which is weird I find I have to use a small amount or else I look like I've really over done it! Thats probably due to my super pale skin though :L great post!! :) xx

    1. No way!? Everyone keeps saying that. It seems to come out quite shimmery on me but the pink just doesn't show even though I'm really pale too. Hmm, I don't know haha. Thanks for the comment :-) xx
